FREE PLACES for 3 and 4 year olds

To complement our full day care nursery school facility and holiday club, Freshfields Nursery School offers free sessional care for 3 and 4 year olds in our purpose designed Classroom called Sunflowers.   

With the benefit of the Nursery Education Funding available for all children the term after their 3rd birthday, Freshfields is able to offer children up to 15 hours FREE each week.

Morning sessions currently run from 9.00am until 12 noon.
Afternoon sessions currently run from 12 noon until 3.00pm

A chargeable wrap around facility is also available if required: Early Birds runs from 8.00am to 9.00am

Flexible combinations of full days are available as well as the option of combining sessions with full day care if required.

Sessional Care operates  term time only, with full use of Freshfields unique facilities.

Top quality education is provided and is based on the Early Years Foundation Stage, covering, from September 2012, the seven areas of learning in preparation for school are sub-divided and named as follows:

The 3 Prime areas of learning are: Personal, Social and Emotional Development, Communication and Language, Physical Development

The 4 Specific areas of learning are: Literacy, Mathematics, Understanding the World, Expressive Arts and Design
